Packing for a van adventure is an art. In a camper, space is sacred, which is why at Can Camper we always say the same thing: "Less is more". But be careful, because there are things that if you forget them, you'll miss them in the middle of a hidden cove.
Here's our list of 5 basics that will save your trip:
1. Headlamp or small flashlight
Although our campers have incredible interior lighting, when you step out of the van at night in a dark parking lot or want to walk along a trail to see the stars, a headlamp is your best friend. It lets you keep your hands free to cook outside or search for something in the trunk.
2. Microfiber towel
They take up a quarter of the space of a cotton towel and dry in the blink of an eye. In Ibiza you'll be getting in and out of the water constantly; having a towel that doesn't stay damp inside the van is key to avoiding humidity.
3. Car charger adapter / Powerbank
Our campers come equipped, but it never hurts to bring an extra USB car charger adapter and a power bank. This way you can charge your phone while enjoying the sunset away from the van without worrying about running out of GPS for the next day.
4. Biodegradable toiletry kit
You'll be in wonderful protected natural environments. Using biodegradable soaps and shampoos is essential so that the water coming from the van doesn't harm our island's land. Taking care of Ibiza is everyone's responsibility!
5. Comfortable footwear and water shoes
Ibiza isn't just sand. Many of the best coves (like Punta Galera) are rocky. Good water shoes will let you enter the water without slipping, and sneakers will help you explore the trails leading to the most secret viewpoints.
